Emma Nee Haslam

Emma Nee Haslam – Venue Manager at Birr Theatre & Arts Centre since 2000, Emma has many years of experience in co-ordinating events.   She is personally and professional involved in Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival for the past 20 years; established Hullabaloo! Offaly’s Children’s Arts Festival with Offaly County Council; assists in the running of OFFline Film Festival, IF ONLY Dance Festival and Bo Leictreach – The GreenPlay Festival as well as presenting a year round programme of events at Birr Theatre & Arts Centre.  Academically Emma holds a Certificate in Marketing, Diploma in Estate Agency and Valuing and is currently attending the Audience Development Programme run by The Arts Council/Theatre Forum by The Irish Times accredited to University of Ulster.  Emma’s experience spans from a family newsagent business to banking and the property industry giving her a broad business knowledge while appreciating the Arts for what they are.  Emma established Scripts with Jasango Producer Angela Ryan Whyte, in response to audience feedback garnered during Bo Leictreach GreenPlay Festival, which she produced with Jasango and Selkie Theatre USA.  Emma plays a key role in the development of the programme and overseeing of the event and brings her extensive knowledge of festival management to Scripts.
