Every year, we invite 3 playwrights to come to Birr for a week of mentorship with Eugene O'Brien and a rehearsed reading of their work by professional actors.
Scripts is dedicated to showcasing the finest new plays and fostering fresh voices in Irish theatre. After taking a break last year, our festival returns from 11-14 July 2024
