As we enter the final week of our Open Call for Scripts 2025, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on our mission from the past 10 years, to unearth and support new theatre voices towards a renewing the theatrical canon.

Theatre has always been a living, breathing conversation—a space where age-old stories meet fresh perspectives, are revisited and eventually reinvented. For us, it's like breathing air, new, exciting plays are not just welcomed; they’re essential.

Embracing Change and Fresh Perspectives without shunning the past.

The theatrical canon, built on centuries of tradition, has given us classics that continue to inspire. Yet, like all art, it must evolve or become stale and die. Fresh voices can bring bring innovative storytelling methods and bold narratives that challenge conventional norms. By highlighting contemporary issues and bringing together diverse experiences, new plays shine a light on both emerging dilemmas and the timeless human conditions that have defined our past.
